Signs of Spring!!

A few weeks ago I saw just the beginning tips of some crocuses in central park where some leaves had been cleared away. We had some beautiful weather last week, and even though it's dipping into the 20's at night this week, the signs of spring are beginning to show up. The first flowers have begun to bloom - little while bell shapes ones. And the crocuses and daffodils shoots are getting bigger. Here are a few images from this afternoon, they're from my cell phone camera, so not terribly clear.

New Eco-Zine Features Eco-Friendly Jewelry Line

It is so exciting to be able to share this incredible new quarterly eco-zine with you. It's called "Sexy Green" and features, among many other things, the eco-friendly jewelry line "Transformational Jewelry". The Sexy Green Eco-zine is a wealth of information for the woman who wants to be part of high-fashion and still be true to her environemental position.

Transformational Jewelry is made from a very high percentage of recycled metals, making it one of the few truly eco-friendly jewelry lines available. The sterling silver jewelry is a minimum of 92% recycled, and the 14K gold a minium of 78% recycled (with higher karats having even higher recycled content).

Wanted to share something fun...

I am positively addicted to the serial fiction of Claudia Hall Christian, particularly The Denver Cereal!

Claudia is a friend of mine from the social networking world of Plurk, I guess I knew she was a writer for a while, but recently she posted some messages about launching her new book through print on demand. I wanted to support her, so I ordered a copy and hoped it would be good so I could be honest and tell her that I liked it (it's always a risk, you know...).

Well, I couldn't be happier! I LOVE the book, and have become an avid fan. I follow the daily updates to the www.denvercereal.com website, where the chapters are posted as 6-per-week daily installments. The only day you can't read a new installment of The Denver Cereal is Sunday...which I'm not very happy about...I want my fix! :-)

So, check out The Denver Cereal, you can download a copy for free, read it segment by segment online or get a paperback copy for a very reasonable price. If you do get the paperback copy, you'll find yourself turning to the website at the end because the story continues there. You can sign up to receive each day's segment via email too.

Enjoy!
