I'm finding that singing brings me into the most incredible space. :-) It's one of those things that I believe we can all do, but many of us give up early due to some negative criticism or meanness. It's like drawing - I think we can all do it as well, but it requires learning certain skills - which are no longer taught in school. There are, of course, people born with natural talent and affinity to certain skills, but that doesn't mean anyone can't become proficient - if I wanted to be a gymnast it would require a huge amount of work and training, but I could do it, probably not to gold medal standards, but with practice and dedication it could be done.
Some proof of the idea that anyone can learn to draw: the pictures below were taken of work I did at through a 1 week drawing intensive (
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain). Everyone in the class had similar improvements - some started with a little less skill than me, some with a bit more.
